God is doing something new. I think we have all noticed it. This new thing is like a heavenly wind. It may have been gentle at first, but now, it is shaking every section of society all over the world. This holy whirlwind is displacing evil and corruption in every sphere of influence. And the demonic powers and principalities are shrieking and convulsing wherever it blows.
One of these spheres is that of news and media. For a long time, the enemy has used mainstream media to mislead and misinform. It is an area of our culture that is swamped with lies, fear, and hopelessness. People have fallen asleep to God’s purposes and what is happening in our world.
But this heavenly wind is blowing!
God is advancing His kingdom, and in news and media, that advancement carries truth and good news. Does that mean ignoring the facts, or covering up the tragedies that we see? Not at all! We must share the facts, but just as importantly, we must share hope. In every situation, we must hear and report what God is communicating. Then, the narrative of our news will change. Instead of hiding in fear, people will run toward these situations, with hope, a plan, and heaven-sent solutions.
This is a redemptive model of news and media. It is something new and different, and necessary for our world. And so, in this massive media war, which involves everyone from the biggest broadcasters to the smallest social media accounts, who can we trust for the right and real news?
Sadly, few of the mainstream newspapers or broadcasters. The worst of these are filled with fake, biased news. And even the ones that tell the truth usually spin it in a way that is designed to irritate and divide the public. There are a few exceptions, such as The Epoch Times. This is certainly the closest thing to a truthful, redemptive newspaper that I can recommend.
However, while there is still a need for good newspapers, the world is changing. God is advancing His kingdom, and giving out brand new creative ideas. What if the most exciting models of news and media are entirely different from newspapers, or anything else we have seen before?
One fascinating example is the QAnon movement.
In October 2017, a user called Q first posted on an internet message board. Through many posts since then, this user, believed to be a source of intelligence within the Trump administration, has attracted much attention and a large following.
Many people dismiss QAnon as a far-right conspiracy theory. I have heard others call it a dangerous cult, and a deceiving spirit. But from my own research, the QAnon movement is actually something new altogether.
Whatever you believe about QAnon, this much is fact. Q is a single voice that is echoing around the world. This voice is opening the hearts of millions, creating interest in current events, and stirring people up to do one fundamental, essential thing—to search out the truth for themselves.
Yes, of course, there are some weird points of view. If a person is treating Q like a prophet, an infallible monologue, or as justification for their own misplaced convictions, then they probably need some guidance. It is right and understandable that we, as the people of God, should seek Him for understanding and discernment, and not believe everything we hear.
But look closely. Many followers of the QAnon movement are social media influencers who truly are making a difference to their communities. These are ordinary, everyday people who are carefully sifting through the clues in order to bring light into the darkness around them. They are exposing real corruption—sex trafficking, blackmail, bribery, and much more.
These people are pursuing truth, justice, and righteousness. They have heard new claims about their world that challenge and provoke them. And because of this, instead of being unaware or indifferent, they have been activated and awakened to make the world better. They have been invited into this war of media, this heavenly whirlwind, in a way that no other news or media outlet or organization has ever invited them before.
What makes QAnon unique?
Instead of telling people what to believe, it hands them a shovel and tells them to dig as deep as they can. QAnon is a conversation. It is a community on message boards! It is a new media model that encourages discussion, research, digging, and independent thinking. How many other news and media organizations are doing this today?
For me, the QAnon movement has been an eye-opener. It has encouraged me to engage more with God, to ask Him more questions. And, as I search for Him in this new model, I am continually surprised and excited about where this new kingdom age of news and media might lead us.
So, let us stop being fearful. Instead, let us be open to the Lord and how He is moving in the earth. This is the time for faith and courage and unprecedented ideas. This is the time to partner with the Lord, and to create whole regions of light! He has released a whirlwind, and we can jump in. And since when has a whirlwind ever been anything less than a wild ride?

Some people call these spheres the seven mountains. This idea, of seven mountains that influence society, was first developed by Bill Bright and Loren Cunningham in 1975. Since then, the idea has been taught by Lance Wallnau and also expanded in several books by Johnny Enlow. These seven mountain resources inspired the message of Dawn Of Purpose.
